How to Install Reezn APK v2.0.20 on Android

Step-by-step install guide for Reezn APK v2.0.20: download, unknown sources, install, permissions, and the first library scan. Fixes for common install errors included.

Hand tapping install on an Android phone glowing amber in a dark home cinema room

Before you start

Installing the Reezn APK takes about two minutes and needs three things: an Android phone on version 5.0 or newer, roughly 100 MB of free space for the install plus your media, and a browser you trust. The file itself is about 34 MB.

Step 1: Get the file from the download page

Head to the Reezn APK download page and wait out the short six-second countdown. The ticket button that appears serves the genuine v2.0.20 build directly. If your download finishes much smaller than 34 MB, it did not complete: delete it and try again on stable Wi-Fi.

Step 2: Open the APK

Tap the finished download in your notification shade, or open your Downloads folder and tap reezn.apk. Android will show the install prompt with the permissions the Reezn APK requests.

Step 3: Allow installs from your browser

On modern Android, sideloading is per-app, not a global switch. When prompted, allow your browser (Chrome, Firefox, whatever you used) to install apps, then go back and tap Install again. This is a one-time grant.

Step 4: Install and grant storage permission

Tap Install and wait a few seconds. On first launch, Reezn asks for storage access so it can find your videos and music. Grant it: without this, the library stays empty. This permission is what the player uses to index your media folders, nothing more.

Step 5: Let the first scan finish

Give the app a minute to walk your storage on first launch. Large collections take longer, and that is normal. Once the shelves populate, tap anything and press play. For the full tour of what the player can do, the gesture controls guide covers every swipe and tap.

If something goes wrong

The classic failures are quick to fix. "App not installed" usually means an older Reezn build is still on the phone: uninstall it first, then install fresh. A parse error means a truncated download: re-download and confirm the 34 MB size. If the install button is greyed out, a screen-dimming or blue-light overlay app is interfering: pause it and retry.

Already on an older version? The update guide shows how to move to v2.0.20 without losing your library, resume points, or playlists.

Once it is running, you are done with setup and on to enjoying it: the whole point of the Reezn APK is that the app disappears and the movie remains.

Quick answers

Do I need to uninstall the old version first?

Only if the install fails with an app-not-installed error, which signals a signature conflict. Otherwise install the new APK over the old one and your library carries over.

Is it safe to allow my browser to install apps?

Yes, as a one-time grant for a file you trust. Android's per-app model means only that browser gains the ability, and you can revoke it afterward in Settings.

Why is the library empty after install?

Storage permission was likely denied or the scan has not finished. Grant the permission in app settings and trigger a manual rescan.
